Fresher’s Reception held at JMC in GUB

A Freshers Oriantation program of the Department of Journalism and Media Communication (JMC) of Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) was held on Today (Monday, 5 August) at GUB’s city campus at Begum Rokyea Sarani,Shewrapara. It was Receftion of fall semistar 192th Dept. of JMC.

Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir, Vice Chancellor (VC) of the university. Mr. Md. Shahid Ullah, Treasurer, Prof. Dr. Golam Ahmed Faruqui, Dean of Arts and Social Science, Dean of Science and Engineering of GUB were present as the special guests. Dr. Md. Aliur Rahman, Chairprson of JMC presided over the program.

Mr. Saiful Islam, registrar of GUB, Chairpersons of different departments, teachers and faculty members among others were present at the program.

Later, a cultural program was held at the same venue. Prominent news caster and singer Ms Lopa Hossain enthralled the program as the guest singer along with the teacher and students performers of JMC.

It is mentioned that Ms Lopa Hossain’s media organization ‘Lighthouse’ has been conducting short courses on news presentation and RJ with the Dept. of JMC.
